Protective Coating Technicians - Casual

About us:

InterGroup Limited are New Zealand's Infrastructure, Industrial and Coatings Services specialists with 35 years of experience in servicing local government authorities, state-owned enterprises and small and large private contractors.

We cover everything from pipeline inspection and repair, drainage maintenance, hydro extraction, liquid waste management, specialist industrial and marine services, abrasive blasting, protective coatings for storage tanks and process equipment, high-pressure water-jetting and more.

We also deliver a variety of industrial services on various offshore oil facilities in the Maari and Tui Oil fields as well as Refining NZ.

The role:

A casual role for upcoming shutdown work at several Northland based facilities starting from December through to the end of January 2021 as well as a large shutdown at Refining NZ - starting from mid-February 2021 until mid-March 2021, for the right people there is potential for going employment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Abrasive blasting
  • Industrial spray painting
  • Protective coating application
  • Equipment maintenance
  • Work to a high standard to maintain productivity
  • Ability to work within a cohesive team
  • A willing and pro-active attitude

About you

  • Minimum of 3 + Years experience in a similar role
  • Ability to pass all pre-employment medicals and D&A requirements
  • Current Confined Space Ticket - highly advantageous
  • Strong team player with sound verbal and written communication skills
  • Proactive and reliable
  • Previous experience during shutdowns is highly advantageous
